FP Dental is proud to offer outstanding veneers for a stunning smile makeover.
A veneer is a very thin shell that is attached to the surface of a tooth in order to improve its look. Each Veneer is handcrafted in a specialised dental laboratory to ensure colour and fit.
Dental veneers are a type of cosmetic dentistry that is widely used to repair gaps between teeth, enhance the look of crooked teeth, and give covering for teeth that aren’t the ideal colour.
What are Veneers made of?
Veneers are often constructed of porcelain or composite resin, and each material has distinct properties. Porcelain veneers are robust and long-lasting. Because they are non-porous, they do not discolour easily; yet, porcelain is difficult to repair if it does break. Composite veneers, on the other hand, maybe preferred by people who want a more natural-looking smile due to their more realistic features. In most circumstances, they can be repaired.
Are veneers harmful to your teeth?
The materials used to adhere the veneers to your natural teeth are not harmful to them. To create a place for a veneer, a sliver of enamel from your natural tooth surface may be removed on occasion. This is always done in accordance with you as part of your initial consultation.
What is the lifespan of veneers?
Although dental veneers are not permanent, they should last between seven and fifteen years if properly cared for. As with all medical treatment, there are cases where veneers can break from accidental damage or damaging habits like nail-biting or chewing ice.
